Green Tea Tip

To get the best flavor and most benefits from your green tea, avoid pouring boiling water over your tea leaves. Remove your water from heat right before boiling and allow it to sit for 15 seconds away from the heat before pouring it over the delicate and potent green tea leaves. Seep your leaves between 2.5 and 4 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea.

Gunpowder Tea Tip

Gunpowder tea is named so because of the way it looks. Each tea leaf is rolled into a small tight pellet which will expand in hot water. For most teas, one tea spoon is the right amount of tea to add to a cup of water. Because gunpowder tea leaves are so tightly rolled, you will need less than one tea spoon for a cup of water. Start with half a tea spoon, allow your leaves seep for 3 - 4 minutes, and watch as the tiny pebbles uncurl into full leaves. Taste the tea and see if it is strong enough for your taste. You might find that it is just perfect!
